Consignment Policies
Northwest Tack Consignment never has or will accept dirty consignments. We are not able to offer any cleaning services. Leather should be oiled, apparel should be laundered, and stable supplies should be hosed off and dried. Local 4H groups and nonprofits will accept donations of dirty tack for free for them to clean and resell. We can put you in touch.
Northwest Tack Consignment Consignment Policies
Northwest tack consignment will be referred to as NTC in this document.
Should your item(s) sell, NTC will retain a percentage of the final sales price, less any cleaning fees if needed (cleaning fees are discussed and agreed upon at time of consignment). NTC will contact the consignor regarding sales when a saddle sells, or an account exceeds $200 in sales. The consignor can check in on their sales and be paid at any time. Methods of payment include in store credit, or a check, which can be picked up or mailed.

Automatic Price Reductions:
All items besides saddles are marked down automatically in our system according to our discount schedule. Items are marked down according to this schedule until they hit our term limit of 120 days. After 120 days the items become the property of NW Tack to donate to a nonprofit of their choice. There is no override or exemption in our system for this. If you do not wish to have your items reduced or donated, you are responsible for arranging pickup prior to the discount or donation date. You must give 24 hours notice before pickup to allow time for items to be gathered. Saddles are exempted from this discount schedule.
NTC will NOT call to warn you that items are going on sale or being donated according to time in store.
